Looking Back - My 7 Links

I'm so honored to be nominated by my dear friend Sarah Wu to take part in Trip Base's 7 links Project. The goal of the project is to “unite bloggers in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again”.

THE RULES

1. Blogger is nominated to take part
2. Blogger publishes his/her 7 links on his/her blog – 1 link for each category.
3. Blogger nominates up to 5 more bloggers to take part.

Here are my seven links:

My most beautiful post
This was very hard to pick for me, because I wasn't sure what qualifies as most beautiful post. I chose it, because I think the photos are beautiful and because I have very sweet memories connected with this trip. Click on photo or read here.

My most popular post
This is definitely one of the best and most popular posts I've ever written. It was even linked to by a Taiwanese celebrity and got me 25.000 hits in two weeks. Read a thorough introduction of Taipei, translated into 2 languages. Click on photo or read here.

My most controversial post
I've written more controversial posts in the past, but I removed them. Controversial stuff is fun to read, but it leaves a bad aftertaste, so I'm not sure how many times I will go into harsh criticisms, as people are so sensitive these days. If you want to read one of these posts, where people reacted very, click on photo or read here.

My most helpful post
This was my live blogging after the devastating Japan earthquake in March this year, where I updated on the possible tsunami to hit Taiwan. I've got some of the nicest comments ever, my post was shared all over the web and people were thankful, that someone gave them real updates on the situation. Click on photo or read here.

A post whose success surprised me
This silly post got a lot of traffic and comments and I have no idea why. Maybe, because most of my commentators are women and they could relate to the topic. If you're curious about my lack of fashion sense, please click on photo or read here.

A post I feel didn’t get the attention it deserved
I think this post would deserve more comments, as the issue is pretty complex. It was more popular among the Korean expat blogosphere than the Taiwanese, but would be fun to hear more on the issue from people here. Click on photo or read here.

The post that I am most proud of
This is actually not a post, but a page. It's about my project of blogging about as many Taiwanese night markets as possible and link them there. Meanwhile I have visited at least 10 more night markets, but haven't had the time to write about them. Hope I can do so soon. Click on photo or go here.

I hope you enjoyed my selection, but it was very hard to choose these few, as I have now over 1000 posts written in the past 3 years. I would like to nominate these 5 bloggers to share their 7 links:

Lily from Lily's Murmur
Fui Fa from The Jongle
James from The Writing Baron
Bananaz from Bananaz People

This is of course not obligatory to join, it depends on your interest and time. But I would be happy to read some of your selected posts on this list.

I wouldn't give my real name, so I won't need to think about it. But it's a nice idea and helps to keep the blogosphere alive.

@Gnetch: Yes, your real name Gnetch, short for Gnetchilda Marondola Canalis, born on 7.7.1997 on Boracay under a coconut tree! You got a problem with that??? Ok, I'll blur this information out, if you're so bothered by it, sheesh! :P

@Justrecently: But your real name is Justrecently, short for J.R. Ewing, you played in Dallas, the series, if I'm not mistaken ;)

@Bananazஇ: Thank you for your kind visit, mr. Bananaz.

@James: You're welcome. And you can modify it and just choose few that you like to mention. It's not obligatory... we'll it is, actually. If you don't do it, you will lose face ;)
