How to trick people into thinking you're good looking

This video has over 3 million views at this moment and I'm sure it'll become even more popular in no time. JennaMarbles, the creator of the video, is really hilarious and although she's very funny, she does make serious points. Her point is: These days almost every girl can look hot, if she has good make up skills and fashion sense.
What do you think on the issue? Most of you would probably say you prefer a natural look. But then again, natural could also mean naked or with a leaf in front of your private parts ;-) I think once mankind started to take daily baths, combing and/or cutting hair and wearing clothes, we bassically said Eff you, nature.
Chinese blogger 妮妮 is a great example of extreme makeover (source).
I don't really feel turned off by fake eye lashes, dyed hair and a lot of make up. It all comes down to how it's done. And of course I still need to like the girl, when she removes everything. When it comes to my girlfriend, she looks good with heavy, light or no make-up, because she's naturally cute. But if the difference was as big like in the case of a Taiwanese blogger or the Chinese girl on the photo above, then I'd say "thanks but no thanks." :-) How about you?

i'm probably one of those hypocritical guys who says he likes a woman to look natural without all those extras but then goes "wow!" when he sees some well made-up hottie...but at least i admit it! :)

my like my girls looking as natural as possible with just light girly makeup.
Fake eyebrows, eye colour, hair, breast, but, nails etc etc is really a big turnoff. Thats why I dont go to clubs and other such places to meet girls ^_^ had a really bad experience o.O

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
When I saw the intro, before I had looked at your post, I wondered why you had to be assured of your good looks.
Imagine my surprise and disappointment when I found the post was all about women and and one woman's views.
Yep, beauty is very definitely in the eye of the beholder.

I haven't heard of JennaMarbles before but at least she throws some humour into her speech.
Absolutely - there's nothing wrong with nice makeup, hair, and a sexy or classy outfit. Like you said, it's how it's all put together. All I can say is, there's a time and place for everything - and I'm not talking just about a pound of makeup on the face and a short skirt. I'm talking about personality too and that applies to men as well - you have to know how to dress and how to act in different situations or else you'll seem immature and or ackward like Jenna pointed out.
Same with men though. You have to be well groomed (no 1 foot beard for me please, body hair removal if needed in certain areas LOL), good hygeine (some nice cologne doesn't hurt, fresh breath), nice hair and outfit to make my head turn - in addition to an awesome personality! Really, I wouldn't suggest any man or woman to just wake up out of bed, brush their teeth, put on whatever clothes and shoes blindly and walk out the door - esp to work. It's normal for people to make an effort to look their best or what they think is their best. Don't you think so?

oh my gosh!!! are you sure thats the same girl? it looks like a completely different person! but you're so right... yeah, girls look good with makeup on but the real question is.. what do you look like without it?! hahaha! i dont think men want a big surprise in the morning. . . not that kind of surprise anyway! ;P although i must say.. some girls over do the hair, makeup, fake lashes thing and it just doesn't look classy anymore on some girls. you're right, its all on how its done.

I'm probably not much different from adamantixx, but I would also like to point out that while good make up can make girls really sexy, it is not that hard to look good without it, and I've seen more girls who got uglier from make-up abuse like JennaMarbles is ridiculing than I have seen girls who got prettier. So I like to occasionally recommend no make-up to friends when they complain about looking bad while not wearing it.
妮妮 should really just not set her hair like a Chinese grandma and smile a bit if she wants to look good. I think she dressed herself up to look as ugly as possible (or just got out of bed) on the picture to the left. She doesn't need to dye her hair and throw a bag of flour and anime-eye lenses in the head to look good, even though the right picture version of her does look better than JennaMarbles take on it. She's Asian, after all, LOL.
PS. I think girls with sleepy faces and evil, octopus-like hair look sexy.

I saw that video myself a few days ago, and while any girl can make herself look hot.. I agree that it's almost useless if they are creating another mask for their face. Thank you for your sweet comment, I prefer natural looks for everyday wear. :)

I think taking the spectacles out seem to be the first step to being beautiful - that's why contact lenses and lasik were invented.
Someone once told me that man are suckers for fake stuff when it comes to judging a lady.

@Shingo: Yes, you're right. You know those movies, where an "ugly" girl turns into a princes, she'll always have no make up, glasses and tied up hair. Then she'll take off the glasses, untie the hair and put on make up and she's suddenly so beautiful. Lol. Very simplistic, but it seems to work :)
