Yingge Town, center of Taiwanese ceramics

A lovely small town south from Taipei city

Yingge Town is a lovely small town 30 min away (by train) from Taipei City. A while ago Lily wrote about Yingge and made me very interested. I thought I need to see the place with my own eyes, experience the atmosphere and see how's life in this quite famous Taiwanese small town. And last week I had the chance to finally see it. Click the link below to read about Yingge.

Neat pictures! The trees there make me think it's a tropical/warm country. I'm longing for spring now! There also doesn't seem to be much English there on the signs - have you gotten use to it already?

@Karen: It is a tropical country most of the year, you can see the palms. But there are also cherries and a cold rainy winter. So Taiwan is a mix of tropical and four seasons. Hope I can experience the summer here :)
English is really not spoken a lot, all is in traditional Chinese. Well, I'm used to it, but it's not always easy :)

@fufu: It's nice to spend one day or an afternoon. If you come to Taipei, you can make a short trip. But aside from that, it's small and doesn't have so much to show.

There are plenty of golden orioles in my suburb. We call them yellow birds. I immitate their whistles and confuse them; its fun. There's a silly one who's in love with his reflections on my house windows. *Facepalm* Stupid bird.

@Anonymous: I know, but what to do. Most people just didn't notice this post, because it was updated in the Google Reader, when I saved it as a draft. And then they only saw few pics with no text. Weird, but what to do *sigh

Well, most important thing is, that you had fun with your girl and the photos are great. I'm sure people who look for info about Yingge will google your post and find it useful. You may get comments some time later.
