Malaysian friend's awesome music on my blog
My fellow Malaysian blogger Netster a.k.a. Jong Fui Fa, accidentally tweeted a link to an old post of his, and since I'm a busy body, I followed that link and found a video of a beautiful song he sang. The song was originally recorded by an Indonesian pop rock band Nidji [more info here] and it's called Arti Sahabat ["The meaning of a best friend"]. I loved that song instantly. And I thought it'd be a great way to promote my dear friend's blog and also give you the pleasure to enjoy some awesome music from Indonesia, wut wut! Malaysians have never really dissed Indonesians for anything except for their pathetic attempt at stopping the yearly smog caused by Indonesian farmers. It's Indonesia that's always doing something extreme to Malaysians like 'filtering' out Malaysians on the road in Indonesia to 'teach them a lesson' for stealing their national dance even though it was Discovery's fault in the first place and not Malaysias. Then there's the whole hoo-ha about their maids being abused and underpaid in Malaysia. There's so many of their own kind in M'sia whom are either illegal immigrants (who waste thousands and thousands of our tax money to send them back) or are crooks and criminals doing all sorts of despicable acts.
But do we complain? No. Because we know for every 1 bad Indonesian, there are 3 other honest, hard working Indons that are genuinely trying to earn a living or is earning a living here.
But all it needs to get those fellas worked up is a misinterpreted Discovery documentary (which did later apologize for the mistake) to show the 'penyet' dance as Malaysian and they go bezerk. Ish.

@Izso: Oops, I didn't want to make this post into a serious debate about Malaysia/Indonesia relations. I'm sure each side could give good arguments to prove their point.
I just hoped people like my two bloggy friends and their music ^_^
Hope it doesn't get too political, cuz I have many Malaysian and few Indonesian friends and don't want them to argue =.=

MKL, I thought you were joking about the video. are you serious? You have so many professional hot leng lui reading your blog wei... hahahhaha My half head and a bad singing can be posted here not??? hahahaha you must have taken wrong medication or something hahhaha :)
Now I feel bad for not making the video a bit better... I am sorry about the head cut off and all :P

High five to that! and that's why I'm a major music addict.
It's funny to hear/see Netster sing, I didn't know he could! I already know that song, so that makes it even more fun to listen to his version.
And I agree that Andhari is very talented! Yay for all the gigs she's doing!
