Road to Nowhere
[I took this photo on 31st October 2009 at 14:26]

This road takes you to my home, which is a good kilometer away from the spot I made the photo. The bus station is here and in the past, when I used to take the bus regularly, I needed around 15 min by foot to come home. I have so many memories of this road: I remember the icy cold February mornings, when I walked to the bus station by foot in the blizzard or the romantic summer walks with a lovely girl under the scorching sun... It's been nearly 3 decades. I've cursed this road and I missed it, when I was abroad.
But it will always be part of me. Because there's an old hidden house at the end of it, that I call my home. And even, if one day I won't live here anymore, it will always remain home in my heart. Yes, I'm sentimental like that.
Do you have a special road in your life?

Currently, is the way to KLCC. Roads in a capital is so complicated, I can almost remember each of them though. Well, he's staying somewhere around there. Everytime I pass his house/KLCC/ way to KL, the feeling still there. Strong feeling in my gut tells me not to go backward to the so called memories but I think I fail. I do miss him sometimes although I know it's impossible to be with each other.

Definitely the road to my parent's house, the one where I've resided at for 19 years..lol. It's pretty. In the city but somehow away from the hustle and bustle, it's like entering a totally different place with pretty streets and big houses around. But who knows I may answer differently in a few years?

Well, 19 years it's a whole lot. This road will be part of your life, because the roads we walked as kids are the ones that really stay. I'm sure you have tons of memories of this road and the things that happened to you :)

Things that look romantic or picturesque, are usually different in real. I'm glad I have a car now, haha.. Tired of wealking that road up and down daily..

awww...everyone has their roads that they are fond of. This is such a nice post, really sentimental. Reminds me of the roads that I have traveled, roads that took me to places with lots of warm memories. =)

My old grandparents house is always at the back of my mind. The place has reconstructed to modern high-rise apartments. But memories are so deep... my childhood memories.

Hmmm..the road from my house to the busstation is about a 1 min. walk... not so spectacular! But I used to travel between Amsterdam, where I was studying, and my hometown, which takes about 1,5-2 hours. Quite a long ride, with a few transfers between bus, metro, train, tram etc. but yeah... that's my special road. I've slept a lot and read a lot on that road. Memories of one of the best time of my life... :)

So you're also a bit sentimental, right?
Vampie
Ah, you see? Memories can be buried deep inside, even if things change.

Ah, yea.. I also used to take a train from my hometown to the capital when I studied. But I'm glad I don't need to anymore. Never felt at home there.
Thanks for sharing, girls :)

Definitely my road to my house back in my hometown. It was always flood free for my 22 years staying there, and there was a lot of memories going on. I still remember when I gas on my Dad's motorcycle and end up throwing him and me inside the gutter of that very road. Loads and loads of memories indeed.

The plains is so pretty. There was once a plains near my home which I will use to get home too but it was demolished to make way for a new shopping mall...

Special roads are not always sentimental ones. My main road home now, is long and winding. There are other odd roads that are used for traffic diversions, The road I use most can be attractive, but it reminds me how far away I am from some of things that were part of my life, the elements I miss.
