Chinese Phrases: Inivitation for dinner
Useful phrases for your reference

My Chinese lessons are back, because I'm eager again to learn more. I'm sorry for the long break, but I do wonder if anyone followed. Well, who knows, maybe this will be useful to someone in the future. It certainly is useful to me. This time we will focus on taking the girl out to dinner. These phrases are more casual in the beginning and romantic at the end. It's more about the procedure of going to dinner, but I won't give you advice for flirting with the girl here. Please go to this post, if you're planning to flatter her while dining.

Ugh. Chinese is so difficult to learn..:-( Is the Chinese language gender specific? I mean, can I use these lines if I were to invite a male Chinese to dinner?
September 15, 2009 7:53 PM
@The Demigoddess: It's not gernder specific (you just need to change she to he), but I used mostly 'you' here, so it's neutral.

you do have a strong interest in chinese girls eh? :)
wah... your words are too formal lah...
and jerine's.... that's mixture of hokkien and mandarin... confused... haha!
September 15, 2009 10:50 PM
@zewt: Yes, Zewt, I know Jerine is more the Hokkine speaker, hehe.. Yes, i like Chinese language, culture... and women :-)
September 15, 2009 10:57 PM
Jerine's lesson works better for Chinese gals in Singapore and Malaysia. Trust me. =p
September 16, 2009 1:22 PM
@ShingoT: Yes, because she is a gal from that region, hehe.
September 16, 2009 5:49 PM
Jerine's comment cracked me up!
And MKL your mandarin is unbelievably good. Damn. I'm chinese and I'm ashamed to say I don't know how to write it. Sigh.
And like what Shingo said, yours is very pure chinese, hardly any slang. Jerine starts off ok and slowly morphs into Hokkien which is waaaaaay more fun. LOL

@iszo: I wish my CHinese was that good. My friend Lily helped me, so the credits go to her. I'm still learning.

看到這個覺得很有趣,可是裡面有一個錯誤,you look so beautiful tonight. i want to kiss you.
