About autumn rain
Is it a coincidence that rain rhymes with pain and sun rhymes with fun? Is it a coincidence that rain resembles tears?I don't know why autumn rain makes me melancholic. I'm tired today and it's been raining all day and it may continue so the next two days. When you're alone, weather matters. A sunny day will make you forget all your fears and insecurities, a rainy day will make you face them. Rain makes you stay inside. You gaze out of the window and you contemplate: Why am I confined to this little space? I want to break free, I want to leave, I want to go far far away... I want to escape gloominess and run away from my inner demons. I just want to be happy.
爱 Rain has no effect on me when I have my loved one beside me. I imagine snuggling on the couch, wrapped in a blanket and watching TV... It may be the most boring scene ever. You know, slippers on the floor... dreamy eyes, cracking bones... On the other hand: Giggling, tickling, rubbing the cheeks, kissing... And it can rain as much as it wants! I couldn't care less! [I need you in my life.] Because I want to see the glow in her eyes, when I intertwine my fingers with hers and pull her near to kiss her. I want her to change my four-seasons mindset into life.
怼 I have once been broken up while walking outside and it suddenly started pouring like doomsday. We ran back to her house, she gave me a towel and I wiped off the rain from my face. Soon after, her father drove me to the train station and I never saw her again. I once drove someone to the airport and it was raining a lot. We were hopeful. I never saw her again.
Ah, rain. we're in a love-hate relationship.
But my tears always dry. So does the rain.

@Rica: Thanks Rica :-) Don't worry, I'm actually fine. ;-) I just went out, observed the rain and got in the mood to write something like this. Besides, there is some optimism inside as well. Really thanks for your compliments. I'm very honored.

"Don't play the game in the rain
It's a pain for the aim
If take a train, there's no gain"

I'm the exact opposite! When it's sunny and I'm with people it feels like heaven on earth, while when it's sunny and I'm alone I feel so sad. The lonliness much greater, because being alone because summer is the most socail season. I mean summer is all about trips to the beach, BBQ's, parties and so on right?? Fall how ever, is not about these things. I love fall. It's my favorite season. You can stay inside on automn evening, watch TV or read a book, with good consciense. No need to feel abd for not enjoying the weather. I's raining here to today, and I', just wishing I didn't have all this studying to do, so that I could crawl up in bed with cocao and a great crime novel! Hearing the rain drum on the roof, there is nothing better!! :o)

Tell me about it. It feels worse when it's raining at night.

I love rain so bad. Sure, some of it are associated with those sad days but when something bad happens and it's hot out, it just pissed me off. But when it rains, i feel like the whole world cries with me as well.
Oh yeah all that snuggling. Rain mellows me out, I keep thinking about those.

@Hwan: Which song is that?
@Carina: Well, everyone has different emotions. I like the sun :-)
@Jerine: Yes, sometimes it's night and day and night and day *sigh
@Andhari: Well, the rain is different in Jakarta than Central Europe. I like the tropical rain, but the one here, especially in autumn is a mood killer :-(

Nino,
I must say you're a good writer. You always can express emotions and affections through your words so easily.
One of the Chinese ancient poetry said "秋上心头,愁更愁。”I think the translation could be "When Autumn climb on the mind, worried would increase by." (Maybe the translation is not good…)
The meaning of the sentence is: Fall always makes people melancholy, because when the seasons comes in autumn, it means summer is passed, and winter would come soon. Time flies so fast and one year would be gone again. Once think about the passing time, people would feel more worried and depressed.
That’s all. Life is always so…well, take it easy. :-)

@LilyChen: Yes, I think you are very right. Autum has that melancholic feel to it. And thank you for your compliments, I really appreciate :-)

This was very heart-wrenching. I don't like the rain..the whole world just feels gloomy. But I like how the sky becomes so clear after a downpour, much like how I feel better after crying my heart out.

@The Demigoddess: That's a very good thought. Rain and tears are somehow connected.

Hi there MKL. I like your post. It's so well expressed that I can empathise with you.
Depending on our state of mind, rain could be great or it could frustrating. However, I always loved the rain.

@Wenny: Well, you are in Malaysia... I loved the rain in Malaysia, too. Especially when i was in Penang. It's a different rain, because it's always hot and it washes away the heat :-)

Rains make me nostalgic, they rub the heals from over my scars and make it all visible again...
rains... very cliched. we all wanna romance in it like you fantasize too and cuddle and breathe into each other and most of us do get there in the end, but right now i am only a dreamer. who is getting all wet in the rain and embracing the goodness it brings with it, with open arms.
thank you for sharing this.

Highly philosophical.
We are soon to experience a season of very brief daylight hours. It throws up similar emotions and feelings. Some people in isolated places go 'stir crazy' with it.
Rain can be beauteous, to see that, you have to observe the affect of the rain in particular lights, on every day objects, flora and fauna, even on us.

Rain & pain, sun & fun - nice associations.
I love it when it rains and I'm lazing around at home. But not when I'm getting ready to go out.

@ZACL: Excellent thought, you put it very well.
@ShingoT: Haha, yea, I am same, only my mood has to be good, then I can enjoy it :-)

personally speaking, i love the rain and find it very romantic, the bleaker and more windswept the scene, the more i love it!
i get fed-up if we get unbroken sunshine for too long, which doesn't happen too often living in England!

@adamatixx: Oh, you are a rain-o-phile (I just created this) or you are a sun-o-phobe, hehe. No, basically you are from the age of romanticism. :-)

It's starting to rain here as well.
I love the sound of rain, but it sure can make me feel lonely.
