She loves my blog!
I got an email today and I almost wouldn't notice it, because it was in my spam folder. And yeah, it does belong there. I just wonder how they found out my email adress, because I didn't publish it on my blog or Blogger profile. These spammers are becoming more and more smart and try to lure you to their website by flattering you. Apparently they succeeded with me, because I did check the site, hehe. Here's the email:

If you wonder what kind of website it was, I'll tell you: They are selling jerseys. And no, your website is not worthy to be linked from my blog. Thanks but no thanks, "Kathy".

@Jamaipanese, I'm afraid the next step will be a spammer posing as your friend, really reading and commenting and then trying to sell you their product.

Jerseys! Thank your lucky stars it wasn't Ganzeys.
I think there must be some kind of random trawling through various email address sites, you hit lucky.........or did you?
It is a mystery though, nothing is private or sacred these days is it.

@rinaz, hahaha.. that really cracked me up :P
@ZACL, well, I have many email addresses, some I only use for online forums and commenting, but this one was sent to my main private address. That's why I am baffled. Nevertheless, nothing's private online, so I shouldn't be wondering. Who knows where or to whom I gave my email address...

I had this happen with a guy running a sunglasses sales site. He used my Contact Me form on my blog to send me the message. Man these guys are really annoying. Used the same tactic too, telling me how much he loved my blog. It was a joke.
No clue how they got your e-mail address.

August 18, 2009 10:23 PM
@zewt, well, I'm not flattered by spammers, but I'm happy that I have more followers :) If that's what you call 'fan base', then that's how it should be called :) They're more like my new friends, hehe.
