Birther jokes are funny, because Birthers are stupid.
Do you wanna hear some funny Birther jokes? [What is a Birther?] I have a small collection on my blog. You can read them in this post: Dear white fundamentalist Americans. The jokes are below the video. I'm writing this post, because a real Birther commented on my blog, you can read his comment here. And he didn't disappoint me. I expected him to be dumb, racist and angry. And guess what? He was! :) I'm really honored that my blog was visited by the dumbest of our kind. Initially I thought that Birthers can't be true. These people are made up, so that the liberals have some material for jokes. Oops. I was proven wrong. They exist and they are very angry and damn serious. I can really just laugh about these people, but I do hope that the US secret service lives up to its task, because the danger is real. Someone as stupid as a Birther can be really dangerous. Let's hope that they'll only be 'taken seriously' in jokes :)Barack Obama, best president since FDR. We want change.

Some people can't stand the fact that a black man is in office, or that a liberal is in office, or in this case that both are rolled into one and in office.
You know how it is. When something doesn't go your way and you're a racist asshole you look for any way you can to find a loophole or a glitch or a way to discredit.
Americans need to get their heads out of their butts and stop trying to find a way to get Obama out of office. Just accept the fact that he's legitimately there and roll with it. It's what the US has always done.
The US government isn't the most effective at times, but I'd like to think they would have, at the least, validated a man's birth certificate prior to putting him into the highest political office in the country. I don't think it's possible for any government to be that damn stupid. And, in the case that the US government really is that damn stupid, do we really want to expose that fact to the rest of the world? We'd never be taken seriously again.

@TalesOC, Obama published his birth certificate. As a photo and not as a scan, the Hawaiian republican governor says it's legit, in Hawaiian newspapers from few days after he was born in 1961, he is mentioned, he would not be able to be elected as a Senator in Illinois, less so to start a campaign for prez. Where were these birthers/haters then? This would never be an issue, had he not be black and liberal on some issues.

Well, not only is he black and liberal, he spent part of his childhood in a foreign country. A foreign, Muslim country. And not only that, he went to school there. I think that terrifies a lot of people, that he may have been 'indoctrinated' or brainwashed with extremist ideology.
You throw all of this stupidity together and shake it up and you get a mass of people on the verge of panic trying to find any way they can to get him out of office. It's completely ridiculous. If anything they should be glad the country is finally becoming the multicultural mixing pot it was meant to be, and they should be glad that someone with a broader world perspective is in office.
Honestly, you learn a lot about your own country just by living outside of it for a while. I have a whole new perspective on the US, both in ways that are good and bad. I also have a whole new respect for my country as well. I wouldn't trade my place of birth for any other!
