A cowardly soldier and alien Obama
As you may have heard, some people in America, who hate Obama, want to prove that he's not a natural-born citizen of USA and therefore he's not elegible to be the president of the United States. They have whole websites dedicated to trash him just because he's Obama was born in Hawaii, Hawaii is part of USA (ask Rowena). The law is clear: If you're born on US soil, you are a natural-born citizen of America, regardless of your parents citizenship [check this article]. I like this law, I consider flying to USA on vacation when my wife will be almost due to give birth :).
Well, those Obama-haters (or shall I say nutcases) then go on saying his birth certificate was altered, forged or whatever. Anyway, no court has taken these people really seriously and they have no proof because there is none. But they have a lot of time and they have a lot of hate. How about they spend it on the research of the US presidential election of 2000 and George Bush and his issues with the law? Oh, that's history and it wouldn't bother them anyway.
Then I read this article on HuffPost and one comment really cracked me up. It's about a soldier who refused to be deployed to Afghanistan because (he believes) Barack Obama was never eligible to be president because of that birth-certificate thingy. Funny, huh? Some people called him coward, but one guy was really funny. Here's his take on this:
Comment by Gover: I am also a soldier and it is my belief that Barack Obama is not a human being. I believe that he is an alien and I would be following illegal orders if I were to deploy to Afghanistan by order of an extraterrestrial imposter.
I will happily return to service if I can personally anally probe Barack Obama. Only deep, lengthy examination of the colon can satisfy my skepticism and therefore Obama must comply with my demands.
One guy replied and it cracked me up, too, haha...
@Gover by cimbri: You don't need to investigate since your head is already up his colon.
I can just laugh about this nonsense. It's always amusing when libs and neocons clash. So far, the libs were funnier, but I guess the neocons will catch up, because the current president is making them go nuts. And I couldn't be happier about this fact.

@Nashe^, I'm still trying to figure out who was funnier, the first one or the second :)
July 17, 2009 2:13 PM
Hm.. there will always be crazy people that do jokes like this. I just to woprk for a polical party in europe, and we loved jokes on out opponents. There where now hard feelings of course.
Even though, I agree with you that this whole thing about where he was born is blown out of proportion, I still don't get why he just wouldn't supply his birthsetificat. Why the secracy?
July 17, 2009 4:55 PM
@Carina, as far as I know he showed his birth certificate to the authorities before he run his campaign and there was no legal problems.
Why would he publish his birth certificate. I wouldn't! To give the haters something new to write about? So they can say it was forged or altered? He's the president of the USA, he would not be able to even campaign, if his birth certificate was not ok.
So, this is a no story really... US has one of the best legal systems in the world. This is a bogus case. Obama is sworn in. These nuts have to accept the facts. ;-)

it's funny how people get confused about the states in America. That's the reason they call it "united" states of america. actually for geographical and historical yes, hawaii is america. in fact canada is also part of america during the federation. i'm not going to go through the whole history.
but obama is an alien? i was lmao!!!!
July 17, 2009 6:08 PM
@Jerine, Good you didn't go thru the whole history. It's a whole lot of history there :)
Yea, Obama is an alien for some people. :)
July 17, 2009 6:28 PM
flying to the states so my child could be born there is a great idea :D
The Obama hating will never stop unfortunately
July 18, 2009 7:52 AM
@Jamaipanese, Yea, some hate him now, I'm really wondering what will happen if he screws up. Cuz as a black man, he can't screw up, he must be better than the rest (the white presidents), that's the sad reality. That's why people pushed him so high to make him a messiah, but he's just human, makes mistakes and I man can't fix the system, people can. Sorry, I'm rambling :P
July 18, 2009 7:59 AM
There's always pros and cons in everything. I just dislike if people don't like people in someway then they make stupid impolite excuses to dislike them. For God's sake, what happen to his brain?! >.<
July 18, 2009 10:54 AM
@Selvy, yea, I totally agree. They don't have any real reason for the hate, I mean, that he has done something terribly wrong. The mess today is mostly Bush's fault. You can't blame only him, of course, but he could be more careful. So could these insurance companies and banks and American people who were buying houses with no money.. But that's another story.
July 18, 2009 5:01 PM
Damn it... I just reminded myself I have to take American history this semester!
July 18, 2009 5:04 PM
@Jerine, American history is very interesting, that's a good choice. Good luck with that.
July 18, 2009 5:13 PM
@Nino: Yep, that guy just making excuses to make public also hate the people that he hates. And ironically he thinks his alien joke is funny >.<
@Jerine: It will be a long, long history class as it will be talking about 300 years of independent country but it will be interesting if you like history. Good luck! ;)
July 18, 2009 10:22 PM
@Selvy, the guy with the alien joke is funny, because he likes Obama. The guy who replies, doesn't like him. You need to read again... It's sarkastic and ironic - I love it :)

I wouldn't quite say the US has one of the best legal systems in the world, but they can definitely do some investigating. I'm sure his credentials were verified prior to his campaigning.
Some people just can't stand the fact that there's a liberal black man in office. Not just that either. The guy is serious about implementing changes, and no one likes change, even if they say they do. I'm not in the US right now, so I guess I'm not feeling the weight of the taxes and stuff, but I can say that I don't have any problem with what he's doing.
A lot of people are complaining about his National Healthcare plan. They say it's socialistic. Maybe it is, but why is it that the US, the supposedly most powerful nation on earth, can't even take care of its own citizens? That should change. The initial taxes are going to be rough, but once it's implemented I think it should be fine. It works for other Western countries. It just seems ridiculous to have a lower quality of life than people in the majority of first world nations.
I think Americans in general need to get their heads out of their asses and stop sending all of their money to other countries. American money needs to be used in America to build up the country's infrastructure. Sure, there are starving kids in Africa, but what good does it do us if we feed them while there are people starving in front of our house?
I wish these ass clowns would put the same amount of energy into finding solutions to the crises in the US as they do into bashing Obama.
July 19, 2009 3:09 AM
@Tales, I'm sure USA has a better legal system than the health care system. Some things are good, some not so... but that's everywhere. At least USA has a democracy and maybe 51% who do want change, so I guess change will happen, if not now, the next generation will bring it. I remember how anti-global warming Bush was. Now USA wants to be the leader in green energy. It's just a matter of time.
July 19, 2009 3:33 AM
The US isn't a democracy, its a republic. 51% does not have the right to decide the rights and priveledges and how the other 49% of the nation lives. Also, the 14th Amendment was created not to let more and more people get a free 200$ for passing go but to make it into national law that black slaves would be given voting rights (even though it didn't work so well). He would be a citizen though, under your logic, if he was born in the US. But he hasn't provided the original birth certificate. He has provided one that is much much newer than he is. If you and he want these people to shut up, then PROVIDE THE ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Otherwise, shut up and step aside.

@anonymous What does a Birther have in common with a beer bottle? They're both empty from the neck up.
If Birthers were any more stupid, they'd have to be watered twice a week.
August 11, 2009 7:02 AM
Honestly, that's kind of a stupid logic. I have both my original US birth certificate and a newer copy I had to request from an embassy while I was in Kuwait. The newer copy is an abridged looking version, but guess what? That doesn't make it any less legal. That doesn't invalidate my place of birth. That didn't make it any less correct, and it didn't stop me from acquiring a new passport.
Now, what if you lost or never had your original copy? I suppose, being the President, he could fly back to Hawaii and convince the hospital personnel to give him a full copy, but why should he have to? And, wouldn't that have already been done by our government when he entered the race for election?
As for our country, the United States of America, it is in fact a democracy. Don't try to twist that fact, because democracy is what the US is, and what it's been all about for longer than either of us has been alive, and you saying it isn't so won't make it not so.
Yes, 51% do have the right to dictate what the country as a whole does, just like 51% has the right to elect a President. That's how democracy works, and just because you don't damn like it doesn't mean it's gonna change.
Majority rules. Now eat pole and shove off.
August 18, 2009 4:28 AM
@TalesOC, that's a better reply than mine. I should employ you to reply birthers. (If there will be any more, heh)
August 18, 2009 4:34 AM
These people are the kind of people that can't be taught even if you beat them half to death with the truth. I don't know why I bother to get so worked up about it.
August 18, 2009 10:46 AM
Ever notice how Obama supporters have to get personal and nasty with people that don't agree with them? Just look at these posts. Hatred doesn't make a good substitute for facts. As for Obama's Birth Certificate: Here in Hawaii, there's no vetting process for the short version document, which is all he has provided. I can walk down there and get one for my dog. Why don't they even bother explaining what happened to the original? That's all they have to do. Why did he apply for foreign student aid? Most people believe what they want to believe. He's promising more goodies from the government, and if that's what you want, the truth about minor stuff like this is inconsequential anyways. Here are some links and info for those who can "get their heads out of Obama's colon" :
AP declared Obama “Kenyan-Born”
John Charlton
The Post & Email
October 16, 2009
What most people know is that the Associated Press (AP) is one of the largest, internationally recognized, syndicated news services. What most people don’t know that is in 2004, the AP was a “birther” news organization.
How so? Because in a syndicated report, published Sunday, June 27, 2004, by the Kenyan Standard Times, and which was, as of this report, available at
http://web.archive.org/web/20040627142700/eastandard.net/headlines/news26060403.htm
The AP reporter stated the following:
Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.
This report explains the context of the oft cited debate, between Obama and Keyes in the following Fall, in which Keyes faulted Obama for not being a “natural born citizen”, and in which Obama, by his quick retort, “So what? I am running for Illinois Senator, not the presidency”, self-admitted that he was not eligible for the office. Seeing that an AP reporter is too professional to submit a story which was not based on confirmed sources (ostensibly the Obama campaign in this case), the inference seems inescapable: Obama himself was putting out in 2004, that he was born in Kenya.
The difficulty in finding this gem of a story is hampered by Google, which is running flak for Obama: because if you search for “Kenyan-born US Senate” you wont find it, but if you search for the phrase without quotes you will find links which talk about it.

@Anonymous You probably won't return here, but in case you do, I want to thank you! :D Your comment really cracked me up, haha... I'm sure you don't expect me to reply. I reply to facts, but I don't bother to interpret art :P
October 27, 2009 5:09 AM
Yo Anonymous! I know you're trying to shine the light of truth on the world, and I'mma let you finish... but Jack Ryan was the best fictional President of all time! ALL TIME!
"The reluctant yet determined Ryan Administration emerges in Executive Orders as Ryan slowly rebuilds the government. He is faced with political trickery by Ed Kealty, and a deadly plague initiated by the newly formed United Islamic Republic, resulting in two major military conflicts far from American shores.
In The Bear and the Dragon, it is established that Ryan has completed Durling's term as President and has campaigned for—and won—the next Presidential election. He retains most of his emergency Cabinet and has Robby Jackson as Vice-President."
October 27, 2009 5:13 AM
@Brad Farless I totally have no clue what you and anonymous are debating, but thanks for responding Kanye style, haha...
October 27, 2009 5:19 AM
Jack Ryan is the main character in a lot of Tom Clancy novels like Patriot Games. It doesn't really have much bearing on the topic but I thought it was a good oppurtunity for a Kanye joke and a good laugh.
October 27, 2009 5:24 AM
@Brad Thanks for the heads up :) I hope the birther will get the joke, if not, he can read your follow up comment :)
