Judgemental friends
Screw you! I don't need people telling me how is right to live and what I need to do. I also don't judge your actions!
I'm almost 30, I can decide for myself what are my priorities. You can do whatever you want, live your boring life in your small towns and villages and think that the phony happiness you created in your mind, actually exists. I don't care anymore. I was always a loyal friend, you got me involved in your stories and I took part, I listened, I adviced. Not anymore. Soon I'll be busy for you or if I'm really lucky, out of this place, somewhere in Asia. Then you can live your fairytale without me!

It's just the aftermath of meeting with my friend the other day. While he got a 15 yr mortgage for a new apartment (in same block as his parents are) and daddy gave him half the money, I couldn't see myself trap in something like that. He's basically stuck in that small town forever. Every month he has to pay around 600SGD for 15 years. Well, good for him. That's not me. I love to travel, be on the move. That's why I didn't buy car before, but bought a lot of airtickets :) I just got the feeling that this friend and some other, who never flew longer than 1h, are just envious. Let me live my life the way I want. I hate when people have some fix ideas what is the right way to live and what not. Screw them!

Hi Ninno I agree with you. Actually I gave up a lot to be able to move around. I gave up my parents' lifelong dream for me to be a doctor. yes all 10 over years of studying. i was 8months away from graduation but I quit because I was unhappy. People I knew discouraged me and told me that Im making a mistake. It has been 5 years..Im very happy so far... do what you want, only one life to live! be all you can be.

I guess Anonymous is Margee? Hehe... There's only one person calling me 'Ninno' :) Thanks for sharing your story and your advice. Yes, I have to live up to my own expectations, I don't have the nerves to live up to other people's expectations. I will do my best! :)
